NEW DELHI: US President Joe Biden is pulling out all the stops in his presidential campaigning through meetings, interviews, fundraising events and official travels. In a tactical move, the 81-year-old president is actively campaigning to improve the mixed polls and approval rating to his favor and put an halt on questions about his age.
On Tuesday, Biden flew down to Florida where he defended abortion rights.A day later with the construction workers where he presented himself as a child of the middle class. Later on Thursday, he announce heavy federal investments in semiconductors
On Tuesday, Biden flew to Florida to defend abortion rights. A day later, he presented himself to construction workers as a child of the middle class. On Thursday, Biden announced heavy federal investments in semiconductors.
Meanwhile, Biden’s rival and Republican candidate Donald Trump has been tied up in a criminal court in connection with alleged hush-money he paid to former porn star.
The former Republican president will have to his campaign disrupted for next several weeks as he has been dragged into the New York courtroom for several other cases.
Taking a jibe at Trump, Biden’s team noted that the only day Trump was not required to be in court, the real estate magnate played golf.
Biden also chuckled about Trump at a fundraiser at the home of actor Michael Douglas and said, “I haven’t had a chance to watch the court proceedings”.
“Because I’ve been out campaigning,” he added.
Trump “learned the best way to get rich is inherit it,” said Biden, adding: “I guess that’s how you look at the world from Mar-a-Lago,” the former president’s vast estate in Florida.
Biden again played up the contrast in a radio interview with host Howard Stern, a regular venue for Trump before he won the presidency in 2016. Stern and Trump often delved into salacious terrain.
“We have a fundamentally different value set,” Biden said of Trump.
