Former UFC Champ Conor McGregor Becomes Part Owner of BKFC

Published:

The
Ultimate Fighting Championship’s biggest star now has a stake
in another combat sports organization.

Former UFC two-division champion Conor
McGregor announced on Saturday night that he is a part owner of
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships. The news was revealed in a
video message during the BKFC Knucklemania 4 broadcast.

“’The Notorious’ Conor
McGregor here. Ladies and gentlemen, the huge announcement that
I have for you today, Conor
McGregor myself and McGregor Sports and Entertainment is now an
owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships,” McGregor said in the
video. “Welcome to the big leagues. David Feldman, baby, we did
it.”

According to MMAFighting.com, McGregor Sports and
Entertainment becomes a part owner of BKFC, while Triller will
remain the majority shareholder. Further details regarding
McGregor’s ownership stake were not disclosed.

“Look, you’ve got the biggest guy in all of combat sports right now
as a part owner of our company,” BKFC president David Feldman said
during the broadcast. “I think it’s just going to move the needle
tremendously. We’re going to do a lot of big things. We’re going to
open up a lot of new markets.”

McGregor is scheduled to face Michael
Chandler in his first fight in approximately three years at
UFC
303 on June 29. The Dublin native has expressed interest in
bare knuckle boxing in the past, when he attended BKFC 41 in May
2023, faced off with Mike Perry
in the ring and speculated about competing for the promotion. Now
he figures to be a more regular presence at BKFC events going
forward.
