Boxing Results: Kenji ‘Amazing Boy’ Teraji Defeats Carlos ‘CCC’ Canizales!

World Light Flyweight and WBC World Light Flyweight champion Kenji ‘Amazing Boy’ Teraji of Japan won a majority, if not disputed, decision over Carlos ‘CCC’ Canizales of Venezuela on Tuesday night at the EDION Arena Osaka, in Osaka, Japan.

In the co-main event, WBA World Flyweight champion Artem Dalakian of Ukraine lost to Japan’s Flyweight champion Seigo Yuri Akui by decision.

In the main event, WBA Super World Light Fly and WBC World Light Fly champ Kenji ‘Amazing Boy’ Teraji, 23-1 (14), won a majority if not disputed decision over Carlos ‘CCC’ Canizales, 26-2-1 (19) over 12 rounds.

In the final minute of the first round, twice Canizales landed rights to the chin stunning Teraji. In the second round, Teraji countered a miss from Canizales with a right on the temple having him falling forward taking Teraji to the canvas tackling him. Referee Luis Pabon gave Canizales an 8-count.

In the final seconds, a right from Canizales hurt Teraji, almost dropping him while his glove touched the canvas for an 8-count from referee Pabon.

In the fourth round, a war broke out, with both having their way back and forth. In the fifth round Teraji landed right after right up until the final seconds when Canizales caught Teraji with a left hook on the chin landing a flurry of punches at the bell. In the sixth round, Canizales countered Teraji with left hooks throughout.

In the seventh round, Canizales dominated the first minute, landing punch after punch.

In the middle of the round, it was Teraji coming back, rocking Canizales with a right, almost dropping him, while Canizales came back in the final seconds out, landing Teraji.

In the eighth and ninth rounds, it was all Canizales driving Teraji around the ring.

In the tenth round, Teraji started out well, but by the middle of the round, Canizales took over. He rocked Teraji in the final seconds with a right on the chin.

In the eleventh round Teraji drew blood from the nose of Canizales doing it backing up the entire round. In the twelfth and final round Canizales chased Teraji around the ring.

Scores were 113-113 and 114-112 twice. 114-112 Canizales per KH.

In the co-main event, WBA World Fly champ Artem Dalakian, 22-1 (15), lost to Japanese champ Seigo Yuri Akui, 19-2-1 (11), over 12 rounds.

In the second round’s final seconds, Akui landed a right on the chin, knocking Dalakian off balance. Due to a clash of heads, Dalakian’s nose was very red.

Running around the ring with hands to his side Dalakian is not fighting like the champion. Akui drew blood from Dalakian’s nose with a right. The ring commentator was one-sided for Dalakian for some reason.

From the fifth through the eighth, Dalakian did a lot of holding and fighting like he just wanted to go the distance running away from Akui. In the tenth rounds midway point Dalakian turned his back while being backed into a corner with a warning from the referee.

In the final minute, a jab from Dalakian knocked Akui off balance.
In the eleventh rounds final minute Akui drew blood again from the nose of Dalakian who seems near exhaustion.

In the twelfth and final round Dalakian ran away to get to the end unlike a champion.

The referee was Guillermo Perez Pineda. The scores were 116-112, 119-109 and 117-111. 118-110 KH.

Super Bantam Yuki Yonaha, 13-6-1 (8) lost a majority decision to Juiki Tatsuyoshi, 15-0-1 (10) over eight rounds.

In the first three rounds, Yonaha, the aggressor, got staggered midway in the third with a combination from Tatsuyoshi, who took all three rounds. In the fourth rounds midway point Yonaha landed his best punch a right on the chin. In the final minute, Tatsuyoshi beat Yonaha up, drawing blood from his nose.

In the fifth round, both were bleeding from the nose, and Yonaha came back to take the round. Yonaha also took the sixth in a close round.

In the seventh round, Tatsuyoshi used an effective jab to take the round. In the eighth and final round, it was all Tatsuyoshi showing his superior hand speed.

The referee was Masahiro Noda. Scores were 76-76 and 77-75 twice. 78-74 KH.

Super Bantam Luis Robles, 15-3-1 (5), was stopped by southpaw Tenshin Nasukawa, 3-0 (1), after three rounds of a scheduled eight rounds.

In the first three rounds, the former kickboxer Nasukawa dominated, being the quicker of the two and the counterpuncher. Due to an injured right ankle, Robles refused to come out for the fourth round.

The referee was Nobuto Ikehara, and the ring Announcer was Jimmy Lennon.
