At Red Owl Boxing Arena, Houston, Texas, Friday, over DAZN, promoter Di Bella Entertainment presented in the Main Event coming off a world title majority decision loss Super Featherweights Edward ‘Kid’ Vazquez overcame a shaky first round and defeated Daniel ‘The Dedication’ Bailey over 8 rounds.
In the co-Main Event Super Flyweight southpaw Ephraim Buil stayed unbeaten with an impressive fifth round knockout over Ernie ‘Lil KidFire’ Cuevas.
In the Main Event Super Featherweight Edward ‘Kid’ Vazquez, 16-2 (3), #130, of Ft. Worth, TX, defeated Daniel ‘The Dedication’ Bailey, 13-2 (6), #129 ¾, of Miami, FL, over 8 rounds.
In the first round Bailey came right out landing a left hook followed by a right on the chin of Vazquez almost dropping Vazquez. Vazquez was able to withstand a flurry of punches to do enough to hold his own the rest of the round. In the third rounds last half minute Vazquez landed a variety of punches to the chin of Bailey.
In the fourth round Bailey came back well with combinations.
In the fifth round it was back and forth with Vazquez landing an overhand right on the chin of Bailey in the final seconds. In the sixth round Vazquez seemed to even the score outworking Bailey.
In the seventh round both had their moments with the fight on the line. In the eighth and final round after a minute a right from Vazquez rocked Bailley on the chin. Vazquez finished strong enough to pull out a close fight.

In the co-Main Event it was an impressive performance by Super Flyweight southpaw Ephraim Bui, 9-0 (8), #115, of Sugar Land, TX, knocked out Ernie ‘Lil KidFire’ Cuevas, 8-2 (5), #115, of Greenville, SC, at 0:12 of the fifth round of a scheduled 8 rounds.
In the first round the hand and foot speed of Bui dominated Cuevas. In the second round Bui cut the right eyebrow of Cuevas midway through the round. In the third round an overhand left from Bui dropped Cuevas for an 8-count from Referee Joe Rodriguez. Cuevas was cut over the left eyebrow, too.
In the fourth round Bui re-opened the cut on the right eyebrow of the game Cuevas with a straight left. In the fifth round a vicious counter overhand left from Bui on the chin and down went Cuevas on his back for the count.
19 year-old Super Bantamweight ‘El Trompo’ Emanuel Moreno, 7-0 (1), #118, of Wichita Falls, TX, defeated Luis Alberto Lopez, 6-3 (3), #122 ½, of Cleveland, TX, over 6 rounds.
Prior to the start Lopez had his gloves changed. In the first three rounds Moreno countered the forth coming Lopez taking all three rounds.
In the final seconds of fourth round Moreno landed a right on the chin of Lopez. In the fifth round Lopez did enough to take his first round. In the sixth and final round Moreno drew blood from the nose from Lopez.

Super Middleweight southpaw Lorenzo ‘Truck’ Simpson, 14-1 (8), #168 ½, of Baltimore, MD, stopped Noe ‘Skinny’ Alejandro Lopez, 11-6-1 (4), #169 ¾, of Spring, TX, at 0:10 of round 2 of a scheduled 6 rounds.
In the first round an overhand left from Simpson on the chin and down went 37 year-old Lopez for an 8-count from Referee Eric Amaro when the Lopez corner refused to allow him out due to injured left arm. He announced his retirement after the match.
18 year-old Featherweight Troy ‘Take it To the Bank’ Nash, 2-0 (0), #127, of Colorado Springs, CO, defeated southpaw Roman Reyes, 5-1 (4), #126, of Greenville, SC, over 4 rounds.
In the first two rounds Nash out landed Reyes. In the fourth and final round Nash kept his jab working keeping Reyes on the end of it.
